Did you know that Utah Blinds Gallery has the largest selection of wallpaper in the state of Utah? We’re proud to supply our local communities with so many fun and versatile ways to add pops of color and pattern to your home. We offer over a dozen different top-selling wallpaper brands that feature many different styles that will match your interior decor. Most people think wallpaper is only used to be applied to walls, but we’re happy to show our customers other fun and alternative ways to use wallpaper in their homes. These alternative uses are also great projects to use any leftover wallpaper you might have saved up:
Many Utah homes pay homage to the snow-topped mountains that make our surroundings so picturesque. If you’re lucky enough to have a fireplace (real or gas), consider making your fireplace wall and even more fun feature wall. Adding wallpaper to your fireplace wall is a fantastic way to create a pop of visual interest that draws attention to the beauty and elegance of your fireplace. For this use, we love finding wallpapers that draw in colors of the fireplace itself.
Staircases in the average house don’t tend to have much visual interest. If the setup of your staircase would allow for it, consider using wallpaper to add pops of color between the steps. If your staircase is shown off in your front foyer, this would be a fun and unique way to make the staircase an even grander centerpiece for your home.
Does your home have wooden bookshelves (or knick-knack shelves) or built-ins? Adding wallpaper to the back of these shelves is a great way to improve your interior decor. We recommend using prints for these types of projects that have patterns or color schemes that complement the color of the bookshelf or the overall color palette of your room. And if your walls already have wallpaper, you may want to use a solid color for your bookshelf.
This one’s a little more unusual than some of these other wallpaper uses. Wallpaper is, at its core, a work of art. You could frame leftover wallpaper on a non-wallpapered wall to create continuity throughout your home design, or even consider using elegant, larger frames with the same wallpaper print as what’s on your wall to break up the pattern and showcase your gorgeous, grandiose frames.
If you want a great way to spice up a bland dining table, measure out the perfect size square of wallpaper and apply it to your table. Top it with a slab of glass, and you’ve created a unique furniture piece that can be the perfect centerpiece for your room, no flower arrangements required.
You’re probably already going to add drawer liners to your dressers and cabinets, so why not create design continuity? Order a little extra wallpaper for your next big project and use the leftovers to line all your drawers for some nice pops of color.
